![]() Passed away at Georgetown University Hospital on Monday, July 9, 2007. Born in Washington, D.C. Bryan attended Charles County Public Schools. Mr. Thompson was a self employed concrete finisher until his timely death. He was preceded in death by his father, James S. Barber and sister, Mary R. Barber.
Bryan (Bear) was always there for his younger siblings and family members. He was the problem solver for his family members and friends. Bryan had a love for basketball, a sport that no one could defeat him in "isn't that right Rommie". Spending time at home, Bryan loved his new found friend the "pool table" another game that he was unstoppable in playing. He and his older son Teddy Bear would play this game as a refresher after a long day's work. Bryan and his son Teddy Bear worked side by side doing concrete work with Herb and Smoot Bryan. Family and friends continue the Bryan's legacy of love for outdoor sports and work. He is survived by his mother, Mary R. Barber, long time companion of 25 years, Denise Diggs, children, Bryan (Teddy Bear), Jerome (Rommie), Mother-in-Law, Ella Diggs, sisters, Charlene, Frances, Cecelia, Wanda, Marie, Tanina, brothers, Cecil, Buckie, Bobbie, JJ, James (Jr) Tally, brother-in-law, Jimmy, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. The Viewing and Funeral will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2007, Visitation, 9:00 am until time of Service, 10:00 am at Thornton Funeral Home, 3439 Livingston Road (State Route #227Pomonkey) Indian Head, Maryland. The Interment will be at Harmony Cemetery, Landover, Maryland. |
