Abraheim Mohamed Zarti was born on July 29, 1985 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Mohamed Mahdi Zarti and Cathy Veroue Johnson Zarti.

Abe, as he was more affectionately known, was educated in Charles County, Maryland where he received his high school Diploma. He had a love for music and a passion for life. Abe was fascinated with all kinds of bicycles, from dirt bikes to motorcycles; he was a member of the motorcycle club "Triple Threat." He was an athletic young man, from playing football and basketball to karate and boxing. He was an avid Redskins fan and attended many of the home games.

Abe was skilled in the arts. He performed in a play called "The Shadow of Death – Will You Make It." He played the trumpet, drums, congas and sang in the Go-Go Band "Black Madness" where he earned the name "Beltway Slim."

Abe was a friend to many. Some might say he had an old soul; he liked to give advice to whomever he thought could use it, he would advise them to "stay prayed up." Abe had a great since of humor, was fun loving, had a sweet spirit and a kind heart.

Abe held many jobs since he was sixteen, but for the past two years he held the position of Commercial Sales Manager at Pep Boys in Temple Hills, Maryland.

Abe was called home by the Lord on Friday, July 6, 2007 at the Fort Washington Hospital in Fort Washington, Maryland, but not before he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Abe leaves to mourn his passing but to cherish fond memories, his devoted father, Mohamed Mahdi Zarti, mother, Cathy Veroue Zarti, step-mother, Yvonne Leaffa Zarti, one angelic daughter, Dymond Lynae Williams-Zarti, one step-brother, Ronald Tate, Jr., paternal grandparents, Mahdi and Haliema Zarti, maternal grandfather, Claude White and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

His Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2007 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Thornton Funeral Home, 3439 Livingston Road, (State Route #227, Pomonkey) Indian Head, Maryland 20640 and on Friday, July 13, 2007 at Fort Foote Baptist Church, 8310 Fort Foote Road, Fort Washington, Maryland 20744 from 10:00 am until time of Service 11:00 am. His Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, Maryland.
