Brittany Lynn Lanham, 23, of Mechanicsville, MD, died April 28, 2012 as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident. Born February 15, 1989 in Clinton, MD, she was the daughter of Robert Andrew Lanham and Beverly Anne Cox Lanham.

She worked as a waitress at the Sea Breeze Restaurant, Mechanicsville, MD and also at St.Mary's Nursing Home in Leonardtown, MD. Brittany was a beautiful, vibrant young woman who was full of life. Her smile and personality would light up a room. She loved boating and just being near the water. Her pride and joy was her miracle daughter, Andrea Raine.

Brittany was predeceased by her grandmother, Francine Lanham and uncle, Steven Eugene Lanham. She is survived by her parents; daughter, Andrea Raine Gibson; sisters, Brandie Nicole Lanham and Kendal Cox; grandparents, Eugene A. Lanham, Franklin M. Cox and wife, Mary and Diane Cox; aunts and uncles, Karen and Eric Johnston, Frankie Cox and wife Tiffany, Anton and Angie Knobel, Cathy Coble and Artie Bennett.

The family will receive friends for Brittany's Life Celebration on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Brinsfield-Echols at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Msgr. T. Ansgar Laczko will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Bryantown, MD.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Coble, Frankie Cox, Anton Knobel, Joe Johnston, Anthony Knobel and Eric Johnston.

Memorial donations may be made to Charles County Children's Aid Society, Inc., 3000 Huntington Circle, Waldorf, MD 20602.
