James H. Grove died April 15, 2012 at Southern Maryland Hospital at the age of 80. Mr. Grove was a resident of Waldorf, Maryland. James was born in Ashville, Pennsylvania.

James retired as a Msgt. in the U.S. Air Force after 23 years service. He also retired from Metro Communications supervisor after 20 years, "PAP PAP'S Metro". James was of the Roman Catholic faith at St. Peter's Church, Waldorf, Maryland.

James and his late wife Marie celebrated "50" years of marriage. He was the son of the late Garrett Grove and Margaret Grove. He is preceded in death by his wife Marie Grove, daughter Dolores and grandson James Grove.

Survivors include a son, Alan James Grove and a daughter, Theresa M. Almeida and her husband Mario. Grandchildren; Kenneth Alan Grove, Patrick Alan Grove and Sarah Marie Almeida. Great-Grandchildren; Riley Grove, Allyssa Grove, Kya Grove and Carli Jo Grove. Sisters; Mary Catherine Peduzzi and Dolores "Dolly" Grove.

Family will receive friends on Friday, April 20, 2012 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. where funeral will be held at 3:00 pm at the Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland. Burial will take place at Maryland Veterans' Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland. Deacon John Barnes will officiate.
