Arthur Martin Reckner, 82, of Bryantown, MD, passed away at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD on April 11, 2012. He was the son of the late John Reckner and the late Mary Reckner Housel. Arthur was born in Lebanon County, PA on December 25, 1929.

His hobbies were coin collecting, photography, music, reading, especially British history, and doing crossword puzzles.

Aside from his parents, Arthur was predeceased by his step-father, Raymond Housel.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara Reckner; his two sons, Marc David Reckner (wife, Mary Reckner) and Eric M. Reckner; his two grandchildren, Marc David Reckner, Jr. and Sarah Langley (husband, Josh Langley); his four great grandchildren, Brady Langley, Will Langley, Marc David Reckner, III, and Kayla Reckner; and many other family members and friends.

Family will receive friends for a Life Celebration on Friday, April 13, 2012, from 5-8PM, with a Service at 7:00PM, at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Interment will be Graveside at Salisbury I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Salisbury, PA.
