Lorraine Ellen Perkins, 65, of Chesapeake Beach passed away April 5, 2012 at the Burnett-Calvert Hospice House, Prince Frederick, MD. Lorraine was born August 6, 1946 in Washington, D.C. to Fenton William and Hattie (Ward) Crown. She was raised in D.C. and attended public schools.

Lorraine married Joseph William Perkins at First Baptist Church of Riverdale in 1975. They resided in West Lanham until moving to Chesapeake Beach in 1980. Joseph passed away on June 30, 1999.

She worked at Chesapeake Bakery for many years and was also a cook at Abner's in Chesapeake Beach for over 25 years.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a step daughter Maria Justice.

She is survived by three sons Timothy W. "Tim" Perkins of Alexandria, VA, James W. "Jimmy" Perkins, Sr., and Joseph W. "Joey" Perkins, Jr., both of Chesapeake Beach, MD. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a brother Meredith "Bubba" Crown and wife Joan of Bryantown, MD and several nieces and nephews.
