![]() Charles Randolph Thompson, 63, of Lexington Park died January 19, 2012 at his home. Born August 11, 1948 in La Plata, MD, he was the son of the late Randolph B. Thompson and the late Dorothy Lee Coleman Thompson.
He was raised and educated in Lexington Park, Maryland and graduated from Great Mills High School. He worked as a stock clerk at McKay's, Food Lion and similar retail/grocery stores. He belonged to the Mechanicsville Moose Lodge #495 from 1983 to 2010 and enjoyed visiting with his family and friends, playing pool, collecting Coke and M&M memorabilia and taking care of Greta (his mother's dog). Charles was preceded in death by his parents, a baby brother who died at birth, grandparents and other relatives. He is survived by his aunts: Sarah Lorence, Letha Edwards, Margaret Hill and Jean Reese; uncles: Herbert Keyton and Paul Keyton, and many cousins. A memorial service will be held on April 21, 2012 at 11:00a.m. at the Hughesville Baptist Church, Hughesville, MD with the Rev. Kevin Cullins officiating.
