Wilbur Lee Harman, 93, of Hollywood, MD died September 25, 2006 at his residence.
Born February 3, 1913 in Upper Marlboro, MD, he was the son of the late Edward Lee Harman and Edna Melleive Donaldson Harman. Mr. Harman served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Hollywood Masonic Lodge, Veterans of Foreign War member of Bowie (Disney Bell Post 50 year member) and past commander., Senior and Junior Warden of St. Andrew's Parish, California, MD, Senior and Junior Warden of St. James Episcopal Church, Bowie, MD and a Boy Scout Leader. Mr. Harman had worked as Operations Supervisor at the Smithsonian Institute. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Kuhl Harman and three children, David Lee Harman, Elizabeth Ann Harman Clark, Manya Wetmore Harman Sofield, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, a sister, Thelma Melleive Harman Donaldson and a brother, Robert Lee Harman (identical twin). He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin Ulyses Harman and Lester Harman. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 29, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. in Leonardtown, MD. Prayers will be recited at 7:00 p.m. followed by Masonic Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hollywood Church of the Nazarene, Hollywood, MD. Pastor Tim Grose will conduct the service. Buffet to follow at 12 noon. Interment will be Monday, October 2, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
