Margaret was raised in St. Joseph, Missouri and moved to Melbourne, Florida as a young woman. She worked during WWII at the Banana River Naval Station, where she met her future husband. After the war, she married George Pritchett and were together for 29 years.

She is the daughter of the late William "Bill" Hale and the late Evelyn Darst Hale. and is predeceased by her late husband, George Pritchett, and her brother, Billy.

She is survived by her son, Gary "Ron" Pritchett of La Plata, MD; one daughter, Karen (Jean) Lassegues of Napa, CA; two grandchildren, Laurel and Stuart of La Plata; she is also survived by her close friends, Marie "Mrs. X" Lederer of St. Joseph, MO, whom she had known over 75 years, and Betty Potts of Leonardtown, MD, whom she had known over 50 years.

Mrs. Pritchett will have a Memorial Service on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 11AM at MD Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD (11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, MD 20623).

Memorial contributions may be made to National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department (30 E. 33rd St., New York, NY 10016).
