Ms. Cornell was a clerk for 45 years with Hahn Shoe Stores and a member of Glenmont United Methodist Church in Wheaton, MD. She enjoyed embroidery, traveling, and reading.

She is the daughter of the late Rowley C. Cornell and the late Esther C. Cooper Cornell. She is also preceeded in death by her two late sisters, Janet Rifenberg and Mary Carolyn Swan.

Ms. Cornell is survived by two nieces, Susan Jacobs of Pomfret, MD and Betsy Logue of Prince Frederick, MD and two nephews, Troy Rifenberg of Newburg, MD and Rick Swan of Massachusetts.

Her funeral service and interment will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 1PM at Parklawn Cemetery in Rockville, MD.
