Jacqueline Tigner Wickens, 76, of Indian Head died on March 26, 2012 at Abbey Manor Assisted Living. Born on April 10, 1935 in Portsmouth, Virginia, she was the daughter of William Clyde Tigner and Sadie Irene Hutchins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband Elwood "Larry" Wickens.

She was very involved in her community as a substitute teacher, a board of elections judge, was a charter member of The Chemical People and a Member of the Charles County Board of Education. A Member of Jolliff United Methodist Church, she loved to travel, read, hook and crochet. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her family always came first.

She is survived by her children Jefferson Wickens, his wife, Susan, her daughters, Teresa Wickens Cole, Karen Wickens and Jane Wickens Creel , her husband, Bob, Grandchildren, Tommy Wickens, Kristy Wickens, Samantha Austin, Ashley Creel, Larry Cole and Robbie Creel and Great-grandchildren Miranda, Alyssa, Stephanie, Catherine and Jordan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 29th from 5 PM to 8 PM with a Memorial Service at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

Memorial contributions on behalf of Jacqueline, may be made to Hospice of Charles County, MD.
