Richard "Dickie" Bon Cameron, 67, of Prince Frederick, MD, passed away at Calvert Memorial Hospital on March 22, 2012, with his family and friends by his side. He was the son of the late Bon Dee Cameron and the late Mabel Mae Hatton. He was born in Washington, DC on May 16, 1944.

Dickie was a retired Millwright/Welder. His Sundays were spent watching football games and NASCAR races. He enjoyed crabbing, fishing, and hunting. Dickie was the handyman of the neighborhood, always repairing someone's lawnmower, chainsaw, weed eater, vacuum cleaner, etc. His home was a favorite stop for his family, especially his nieces & nephews and their families, and numerous friends as they visited often.

Aside from his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Kathryn Sorrels and son-in-law John Alvey.

Dickie is survived by his daughter, Hope Cameron; his step-son, Richard Sorrels; his three brothers, William Cameron, Gordon Cameron, and Robert Cameron; his three grandchildren, Matthew Alvey, Nedray Alvey and Victoria Sorrels; and a host of many other family members and friends.

Family will receive friends for a viewing on Friday, March 30, 2012, from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with prayers at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. There will be a service on Saturday, March 31, 2012, 10:30AM at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church, 7185 Benedict Ave., Benedict, MD 20612. Interment will immediately follow to Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD 20604.

Pallbearers will be his nephews, Donald Cameron, Ronald Cameron, Steven Cameron, Tony Cameron, and cousins Tommy Buckler and Jimmy Buckler.
