Richard Lawrence "Larry" Fastnaught, Sr., 55, of Chaptico, MD, passed away at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD on March 21, 2012. He was born in Washington, DC on June 10, 1956. Larry was the son of Robert E. Fastnaught Jr. and the late Carole Vivian (Evans) Fastnaught.

Larry enjoyed everything outdoors, including taking care of the family farm. He had a great knack for keeping all the old equipment operating. He loved movies, playing cards, caring for the family pets, and getting together with family and friends. Larry spent 40 years in facilities maintenance and the family construction business. His greatest satisfaction was in helping others.

Larry is survived by his son Richard Lawrence "Rik" Fastnaught, Jr.; his two sisters, Christine Fastnaught and Carla Torres; his three brothers, Robert E. Fastnaught, III, Stephen Fastnaught, and Matt Fastnaught; his grandchild, Paige; and a host of many other family members and friends.

Family will receive friends for a celebration of Larry's life on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 1- 5 pm at the family farm at Chaptico Hill Lane, Chaptico, Maryland.
