Louis E. "Louie" Yates, 33, of Lexington Park, MD died September 25, 2006 in Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, DC.

Born February 17, 1973 in Leonardtown, MD, he was the son of Geraldine Yates Estep of Lexington Park, MD and the late Louis Edward Estep. He was educated in St. Mary's County schools and graduated from Green Holly School.

Louis loved being around others and loved keeping them company. He always told funny jokes that kept you laughing. Louis was so kind and friendly to all that he didn't even know.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Geraldine Estep, grandfather, Elbert Yates, aunts; Linda Crenshaw and Peggy Yates, two sisters; Kelly Packnett and Gwendolyn Yates, two nieces; Jolita Gantt and Malaysia Taylor, his nephews; Antonio Gonzalez, Gregory Taylor, Dionta Taylor, Brian Stapleton, Dwayne Gantt, Nathan Gantt and Lionel Packnett, Jr. and hosts of family and friends. Louis was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie Lee Estep and Ruth Estep and his father Louis Edward Estep.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the First Missionary Baptist Church, Lexington Park, MD. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Roderick McClanahan will conduct the service. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.
