William Herbert Dixon of Waldorf, MD died on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD. He was 81 years old. Son of the late William Herbert Dixon, Sr. and the late Helen Estelle Conrad Dixon.

Mr. Dixon was a Furniture Maker for many years in Florida and a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served during the Korean conflict. He enjoyed fishing, boating, motorcycles, and being on the water. He came to live with his brother in Waldorf from Florida in 2004.

Predeceased by his parents; his late wife Aurora Dixon; and three brothers, George H., Francis A., and Harry J. Dixon.

Survived by one son, Alex A. Dixon of CA; three brothers, Paul Albert Dixon of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Ralph A. Dixon and his wife Sarah of Waldorf, MD, and Paul R. Dixon and his wife Helen of Waldorf, MD; and two sisters, Helen Marie Chenault and her husband William of Lusby, MD and Doris C. Dickinson and her husband Russell of Mechanicsville, VA.

Funeral Service and Interment: Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 11AM at MD Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD. Clergy: Fr. Alain Colliou. Pallbearers: United States Marine Corps Honor Guard.
