Mary Elizabeth Hamilton, 80, of Charlotte Hall, MD, passed away on February 21, 2012 at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Washington, DC on March 29, 1931. Mary was the daughter of the late Frank Dryden Dawson and the late Lena Mary (Depharini) Willett.

She loved going to bingo, playing cards, crocheting, and ceramics. Mary enjoyed visiting with others and was completely devoted to her family.

Aside from her parents, Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, James Earl Hamilton; her Son, Earl Hamilton; her brother, Frank Dawson; and her 2 sisters, Ginny Polen and Marjorie Wilcox.

Mary is survived by her son, Carl Hamilton (Linda); her 2 daughters, Janet Fowler and Betty Murphy (David); her brothers, Warren Willett and Gayle Willett; her sisters, Jeanette Maxwell and Patricia Kwiecinski; and her 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Memorial Life Celebration will take place Saturday, March 3, 2012, here at Brinsfield-Echols, Charlotte Hall, MD at 11:00AM. Interment will be private.
