Rose Lee Nelson of La Plata, MD died on Friday, February 3, 2012 at her residence. She was 74 years old.

Mrs. Nelson was a Homemaker and a member of Free Will Baptist Church in Waldorf, MD. She enjoyed gardening and being with her great-great grandchildren. She was known as always taking care of others and being at home with her family. Her two special loves were her cats Patches and Wally.

Daughter of the late Larkin Greer and the late Virgie Pickle.

Predeceased by her parents.

Survived by her husband of 58 years, Francis "Frankie" A. Nelson; four sons, Terry (Peggy) Nelson of Mechanicsville, MD, Jerry (Vallire) Nelson of King George, VA, Randy and Michael Nelson, both of King George, VA; three daughters, Teresa (James) Buchanan of Accokeek, MD, Robin Nelson of La Plata, MD, and Sharon (Herman) Lasure of Mechanicsville, MD; and three sisters, Mary Dennison, Beulah Dennison and Janie Rich, all of Marion, VA. Also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.

Visitation: Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from 5-8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646) Funeral Service: Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 11AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Clergy: Rev. Jim Fairchild. Interment: Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD. Pallbearers: Family.
