Sean McLaughlin, age 42, of Waldorf, MD died January 25, 2012, with his family by his side at University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, MD. He was born March 26, 1969, graduated from La Plata High School (Class of 1987), and he was a licensed and certified HVAC Technician.

Sean was proud of his Irish heritage through his father's legacy. He is preceded in death by his father, Francis (Frank) McLaughlin, and survived by his mother, Elizabeth McLaughlin; fiancé, Moreen Gilroy and their son William McLaughlin; former wife, Dawn Cook-Harmon and their son Justus McLaughlin; sister, Wendy Morgan and husband Dennis; brothers, Jeff Delph and wife Laura, Kevin Delph and wife Tiina, and Richard Delph; many nieces and nephews, Michelle, Lindsay, Kevin, Dennis, Shayne, Courtney, Jenna, Sammy, Richie, Jerry, and Katie; and two grand nieces and nephews Gavin and Gabriella.

Sean was a compassionate man who dearly loved God and his family. He had a passion for reading the bible and sharing his faith. He was a master guitar player and people loved to come hear him play and sing. He and his sons enjoyed listening to heavy metal music together. He was well known for his quirky sense of humor and making people laugh. He was determined to solve enigmatic problems throughout his life. He loved to cook for his children and teach them healthy lifestyles. He lived for spending quality time with family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all.

Interment: Monday, January 30, 2012 at 1:15 PM at St. Mary's Bryantown Catholic Church (13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, MD 20617) Pallbearers will be family.
