Vincent "Vince" Joseph Moylan, Jr. of La Plata, MD died on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the University of MD Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. He was 84 years old. Son of the late Vincent Joseph Moylan, Sr., and the late Phyllis E. Rice Moylan.

Mr. Moylan was a retired Prince George County Firefighter, having served as a Lt. at the Laurel station for 20 years and was a veteran of the United States Army, having served from 1955-1957. He was also a volunteer firefighter with the Riverdale Heights Fire Department. He was a life-long fan of the Washington Redskins and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Plata, MD and the American Legion. In his retirement years, he enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, and listening to 40's and 50's music on his CD player.

Predeceased by his parents; his wife of 25 years, Betty Goldsborough Moylan; and his sister, Jane Ingwerson.

Survived by his children, Dennis (Michele) Moylan of Spring Hill, FL, Joanna Douglass of Chesapeake Beach, MD, and Kay (Charles) Patterson of Mechanicsville, MD; brother of Mickey (Edward) Johnson, Philip (Mary Dee) Moylan, Marylinn (Mike) Hatch; one brother-in-law, Gene Ingwerson; grandchildren, Joelle Calleri, Lesley Moylan, John Douglass, Tim Welch, and Charles Welch; great-grandchildren, Lizzy Calleri, Julianna Calleri, Aidan Stuber, Scarlett Douglass, Savannah Douglass, Kayla Welch, Meghan Welch, Thomas Moreland, and Shaniya Welch.

Visitation: Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from 5-8PM with Wake Service at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646). Clergy: Fr. John Reutemann. Interment: Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 10AM at MD Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD. Honorary Pallbearers: United States Army Honor Guard.
