On May 3, 1960 God gave unto us our beautiful and beloved angel Michaela Naomi "Squeaky" Johnson-Swann. On Sunday, December 25, 2011, God whispered to his child, "Come home with me my daughter." Squeaky was born in La Plata, Maryland at her home on Route 225 to a family mid-wife to the late Victorine Johnson and the late Eddie Young. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in this journey by her sisters Celestine, Vera and brother Randolph Preston Johnson.

Squeaky graduated from Maurice J. McDonough High School in 1979. She loved sports like softball, tennis and running track. She was a very outgoing person that loved to have fun. She also loved to go out dancing, and having a good time with her sisters. She liked gathering with friends and family and playing a friendly game of cards, or gambling at the casino to playing scratch offs in her spare time.

She loved her children and grandchild dearly. She enjoyed going on vacations, collecting items, and loved the Lord. Through her journey here she was a very loving and giving mother, sister and friend. Always smiling, even in her time of illness she kept her faith in the Lord. She was very spiritual and kept the bible as her favorite book.

Throughout Squeaky's adult life she worked various jobs which ranged from working with people at the Charles County Nursing Home to places like Beretta, to being a manager at Wendy's in La Plata for 15 years. Her last employer was Walmart in La Plata where she had to resign due to illness. She worked for them about 10 years.

Squeaky was taken away from us on Christmas day, which is the day that the Lord was made; A day that is already memorable which now makes it even more of a joyful day to remember because she is now with the lord whom she loved. She no longer has to suffer, and she can smile down upon us and watch over us.

She is survived by her husband Paul J. Swann, whom she loved very much. Also surviving are her loving daughters, Erica Johnson, Sabrina Proctor, Tiffany Johnson and her son Tyrone Matthews Jr., sons-in-law George Proctor and James Kelton, granddaughter which she called grandma's baby, Tyra Johnson. Squeaky loved all of her family dearly and held them close to her heart including very special nephews Vincent and TyJon Johnson, which she called her second son; brothers Ralph, Luther, and Kelvin Johnson; sisters, Imogene Marbury, Agnes Hall, Linda, Audrey, and Darlene Johnson; brothers- in-law, Ellis Marbury and Henry Hall Jr. and a host of nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.

Her viewing will be held on Friday, December 30th, 11:00am until service time 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640. Interment St. Mary's Church, 13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, Maryland.
