Alice Ethel Bowling, 88, of La Plata, MD passed away at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD on December 23, 2011.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents; Thomas W. Bowling and Daisy Marie Bowling, from Faulkner.

She is survived by her brothers; Phillip Bowling of Faulkner, and Roger Bowling of Fredericksburg, VA. She is also survived by her nieces; Anna Binger of Waldorf, Francis Craven of Marbury, and Susan Pickeral of Waldorf. Nephews; Charles Bowling of Faulkner, George Bowling of Faulkner, Kenneth Bowling of Boston, MA, Phillip Bowling of Faulkner, Robert Bowling of Florida, Carl Hornbeak of Clinton, Ernest Winstead of Pennsylvania, and sister-in-law; Marie Bowling of La Plata.

Viewing will take place on Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 9 am until time of service at 11 am at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. in La Plata, MD. Pastor Robert Carter will officiate. Interment will follow at the Dentsville Methodist Cemetery in Dentsville. Pallbearers will be, Jay Binger, George Bowling, Charles Bowling, Brad Hornbeak, Carl Hornbeak, and Todd Hornbeak.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Charles County or Charles County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
