Barbara J. Colaciello, 47, of Waldorf died December 7, 2011 at her home. She died after a valiant fight with Colon Cancer; her determination to beat the disease was admirable. Born April 25, 1964 in Fairmont, WV, she was the daughter of Atelio "Ott" Meale and the late Mary L. Meale.

Mrs. Colaciello was a Medical Record Admin Specialist at Malcom Grow Medical Center at Joint Base Andrews. She found true happiness in life with her family. Her boys were her life, pride, and joy. She enjoyed preparing for family gatherings, spending time with friends, and visiting her parents and family in her hometown of Fairmont, WV. She was a member of St Mary's of Piscataway Catholic church.

She was married to her beloved husband Joe Colaciello on May 20, 1989. Together they built a very close knit and loving family.

In addition to her father and husband she is survived by her sons Felix "Matt" and Alexander "Alex" of Waldorf, and her brother Atelio "Ott" Meale of Fairmont, WV and his fiancée Theresa Jane Halbritter of Morgantown, WV. She was also the daughter-in- law of Felix and Karen Colaciello of Brandywine, sister-in-law of Felicia and Greg Moran of Waldorf, Tony and Lenore Colaciello of Waldorf, Jim and Cherie Colaciello of Brandywine and Debbie and Steve Parker of Fort Mill, SC. She was the loving aunt to eleven nieces and nephews with whom she loved to share her fresh baked cookies.

Visitation will be held at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home in La Plata on Friday, December 9th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8, with a prayer service to be held at 3:00 pm. A mass of Christian burial to be officiated by Msgr. Parent will be held at 10 am on Saturday, December 10th at St. Peter's Church, Waldorf with burial to immediately follow at the church cemetery.

Pallbearers are Tony Colaciello, Jim Colaciello, Gerald "Bud' Sapp, Nicholas Meale, Greg Moran and Steve Parker.

Memorial contributions can be made to Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Harris Building, Suite 4000, 3300 Whitehaven Street, NW Washington, DC 20007.

Arrangements will be handled by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata, Maryland.
