John "Johnny" Wayne Sims of Waldorf, Maryland, died at his residence on Sunday, December 4, 2011. He was 55 years old. Born on March 2, 1956 in Martinsburg, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Esther Mae and the late William Archie Sims.

Mr. Sims did home improvements for A Touch of Class. He loved bass fishing, hunting, walks in woods, and working on his daughters' homes. He was a member of Skeeter Club and a volunteer with little league. He enjoyed his time with his three-year-old granddaughter and all his children.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary Madelyn Sims; one son Johnny B. Sims of Waldorf, MD; two daughters, Katrina A. Sims of Hughesville, MD and Jamie T. Sims of Waldorf, MD; four sisters, Susie Sedar and her husband Ron of FL, Judy Green and her husband Larry of MN, Stella Sims of Greenbelt, MD, and Debbie Loy of Winchester, VA; and one granddaughter Carolina T. Holmes.

Visitation on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 from 5:30-7:30 PM with a Funeral Service at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646 (301-934-2920). A private interment will be held at a later date.
