Catherine Connors Bainbridge of Waldorf, MD died on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Fenwick Landing in Waldorf, MD. She was 95 years old. Born June 21, 1916 in Old Forge, PA, she was one of six children.

Mrs. Bainbridge was an Office Manager for 11 years at NASA (United States Government). After her marriage in 1938, Mrs. Bainbridge and her husband moved to Washington, DC. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in 1988. Mrs. Bainbridge retired from NASA in 1976 and previously worked for the Navy Department during World War II, Lansburgh's Department Store, and the A&P Grocery Store.

Mrs. Bainbridge was a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother who enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, and quilting. She was always ready to help whenever and wherever she was needed. She was an active member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Waldorf, MD from 1979 until her illness. She touched the lives of many with her kind and gentle manner.

Daughter of the late Michael Joseph Connors and the late Martha Williams Connors.

Predeceased by her parents; her husband Arthur E. Bainbridge; and daughter Marietta Bainbridge.

Survived by her daughter Kathleen Aley and her husband John L.; her brother James Connors of Waldorf, MD; her sister Jane Curls of Clearwater, FL; and three grandchildren Noelle Welch and her husband Benjamin, John A. Aley and his wife Tanita, and Matthew Aley and his wife Jeanette. Also survived by 11 great- grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646). Funeral Service: Monday December 5, 2011 at 11AM at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church (305 East Smallwood Drive, Waldorf, MD 20602). Clergy: Rev. Stephen Larsen and former pastor Rev. Thomas Kaylor. Interment: Trinity Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: John Aley, Matthew Aley, Benjamin Welch, Brandon Welch, Adrian Aley, and Jordan Aley. Honorary Pallbearer: James Connors
