John William Goldsmith, Sr., 57 of Indian Head, MD passed away at Civista Medical Center on November 26, 2011.

John is preceded in death by his parents; Ballenger S. Goldsmith and Norma C. Goldsmith. Also by sister; Carol Goldsmith.

John is survived by his wife; Lucy C. Goldsmith. Son; John W. Goldsmith, Jr. Brothers; Gary Goldsmith (Joni), Ronnie Goldsmith (Marie), and Richard Goldsmith, and grandchild; Samantha E. Goldsmith. Many nieces and nephews also survive him.

John enjoyed fishing, hunting, crabbing, playing cards, the Washington Redskins, and carpentry.

The family plans to hold a memorial service at a later date for John.
