Marbury, Pearl Sedessa Hamn, Age 80 of (Pomonkey) Indian Head, Maryland

Pearl Sedessa Marbury, daughter of the late Frederick and the late Annie Hamn, entered into eternal life on Sunday April 1, 2007, at the Charles County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in LaPlata, Maryland.

Pearl Sedessa Marbury was born Pearl Sedessa Hamn in Brooke, Virginia on January 1, 1927. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Felix A. Marbury on June 25, 2004.

Pearl Sedessa leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Jacquelyn Washington, four sons: Marvin, Wayne, Phillip and Reginald Marbury, a God-daughter, Sheila Meyers Washington; two sisters, Ella Necola Tally of New York, NY and Phillis George of Harrisonburg, PA; two brothers, Frederick Hamn of Indian Head, MD and Eugene Hamn of Stafford, VA. Seven grandchildren: Thomas, Adrian, Damien, Mia, Derek, Nakia, and Phillip Jr. Seven great-grandchildren: Branden, Eric, Alexis, Nathan, Asha, Shaune, and Damien Jr. She also leaves to cherish her memory one son-in-law, James Washington and a daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Marbury. She also leaves five sister-in laws, two brother-in-laws, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Her home going service will be on Thursday, April 5, 2007. Family hour will start at 11:00 am with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 noon at Thornton Funeral Home, 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland. Interment to follow the service at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, Maryland.
