![]() Charles A. Curtis, Jr. was born on September 3, 1958, in Charles County, Maryland to his loving parents, Mary Beulah and Charles Curtis, Sr. On Tuesday, March 21, 2007, Charles quietly entered into eternal rest at Southern Maryland Hospital, Clinton, Maryland.
Bubby, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was educated in the local public school system and he was employed by Mosley's Upholstery in Clinton, MD. Bubby loved his family and friends, and enjoyed spending quality time with them. Shopping for clothes and dining out were some of his favorite past times. The most favorite past time of all was watching a game of the Dallas Cowboys football team. Bubby also had a passion for playing the Lottery (and winning), as well as taking care of his favorite pet, which he named Dallas. The family will always miss his phone calls and his favorite line, "Don't tell nobody I told you this." Bubby was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Sophie Smith and Elizabeth Curtis, grandfathers, Arthur Hurd and Martin Curtis, great grandmother, Mary Tolson, aunt, Dorothy Smith, and brother-in-law, Joseph Fenwick, Sr. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved daughter, Kizzy C. Brown, special friend, Barbara Lyles, mother, Mary B. Shade, father, Charles A. Curtis, Sr., seven sisters; Donita Simmons, Fran Bennett, Glenda Butler, Natalie Fenwick, Lisa Cooper, Gloria Sewell, Avis Butler, three brothers, Troy Curtis, Sr., Kevin Curtis, Aaron Curtis, Sr.; three grandchildren; Emonee', Arend Jr., and Sy'Diah Brown, one son-in-law, Arend Brown, Sr.; one great aunt, Cecelia Yates, aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives and friends. His viewing will take place on Tuesday, March 27th from 9:00a.m. until time of service 11:00a.m. at Union Bethel AME Church, Brandywine, MD. Interment Gibbons Resurrection Cemetery.
