![]() Charlotte "Lorraine" Wathen, 46, of Mechanicsville, MD, died October 10, 2011 in Leonardtown, MD. Born on October 10, 1965 in Leonardtown, MD, she was the daughter of Charlotte Ann Dornall Wathen and the late Leonard Briscoe Wathen, Sr.
Charlotte is survived by her son Wesley Tyler Wathen of Mechanicsville, MD, siblings; Leonard B. Wathen, Jr. (Lorri) and Sandra C. Wood (Jason) both of Mechanicsville, MD, as well as her lifelong best friend, Laurie Fowler. Charlotte was preceded in death by her niece Lacie Wathen and nephew Landen Wathen. Charlotte graduated from Chopticon High School, Morganza, MD in 1983 and went on to work as an Environmental Services Aide for St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, MD. Lorraine loved spending time with family and friends, watching the Dallas Cowboys, playing the lottery, listening to country music, and she spoke her mind. Most of all Charlotte loved spending time with her nieces and nephews Shelby Wood, Serena Wood, Bradley Wathen, Corey Wathen, Lawson Wathen, and Lanie Wathen. The family will receive friends in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD on Thursday, October 13, 2011 from 5:00 PM -8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 10:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Mechanicsville, MD with Fr. John Caulfield officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers will be; Gene Wathen, Kenneth Posey, Michael Sturm, Robert Wood, David Morgan, and Ricky Guy. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Daniel Morgan, James Morgan, and Jacob Wathen.
