Mr. Nelson was a Construction Estimator for 8 years with Barnes Builders in Waldorf, MD. David enjoyed music, art, football, hockey, lacrosse, golf, swimming, movies, video games, animals, and children - most of all family and friends. He also enjoyed skateboarding, snowboarding, and graffiti art and drawing.

Son of the living Barry Albert Nelson and the living Gemma Theresa Jones Nelson. Survived by his parents, Barry and Gemma Nelson of Hughesville, MD; his wife of 4 years, Jaimie Lynne Howells Nelson; two brothers, Scott Anthony Nelson and his significant other Erica Pickens of La Plata, MD and Michael Daniel Nelson of Hughesville, MD; one sister, Deborah Anne Nelson of Hughesville, MD; two nephews, Douglas Cuffage of La Plata, MD and Dominic Augustus Nelson, of Hughesville, MD; life-long family friend, Mary "Mer" Dexter of Hughesville, MD; and his pets, Bob and Bubba. Also survived by numerous aunts, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
