Edward James Lennon, Jr., 70, of California, MD, formerly of Massapequa, NY died September 17, 2011 at his residence. Born July 3, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Edward James Lennon and Rose Farley Lennon.

Edward was a Project Manager in Construction. Edward loved to spend time with his family and friends fishing on his boat. He spent a lot of time enjoying the sunsets in the Gulf of Mexico. He was a member of American Legion Post # 162 in California, MD.

Edward Lennon, Jr. is survived by his wife, Crystal M. Lennon; children, Edward James Lennon III (Jennifer) of Brandywine, MD, James Michael Lennon (Diana) of Swan Point, MD and Denise Marie McCann (Robert) of Brandywine, MD.; sister, Geraldine Mason of Venice, FL; grandchildren, Amanda, Michael, Tyler, Danielle, Anthony, Theresa and Vincent and God-daughter, Heather Turner.

The family will receive friends for Edward's Life Celebration on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. with prayers at 7:00p.m.at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 1:00p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.

Pallbearers will be Rocky Nichols, Ronnie Turner, Kevin Ayscue, Mike Hale, Ken Anderson and Steve Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler McCann, Michael Lennon and Robert McCann.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1041 Rt. 3 North, Bldg. A., Gambrills, MD 21054 or the Golden Retriever Rescue of Southern Maryland, P.O. Box 6, Great Mills, MD 20634.
