Mr. Curtis was a baggage clerk with Greyhound Bus Lines in Washington, DC for 35 years and a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean conflict. He was a long- time member of Chicamuxan United Methodist Church and an avid Redskin fan.

Son of the late John M. Curtis and the late Nora Gay Frazier Curtis. Predeceased by his parents, sister, Nellie Cook, son-in-law, Gene Williams and brother-in-law, James Padgett.

Survived by his wife of 57 years, Donaldeane Gilroy Curtis; one son, Jerry Curtis of Doncaster, MD; two daughters, Susan Williams and Tammy Curtis, both of Doncaster, MD; and one sister, Cordelia "Sunny" Padgett of La Plata, MD. Also survived by four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation: Friday, September 2, 2011 from 3-8PM with prayers at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Funeral Service: Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 10:30AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Clergy: Lynn Bowie. Interment: Chicamuxen Methodist Church Cemetery, Chicamuxen, MD.
