![]() Mr. Livers was a Custodian at La Plata High School with the Charles County Public Schools for 19 years and a member of St. Ignatius Chapel Point Catholic Church, Port Tobacco, MD. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II where he received the Good Conduct Medal, the European African Middle Eastern Services Ribbon, the American Theater Ribbon, and the World War II Victory Ribbon. In his earlier years, he enjoyed working on the family farm and was known as a "people person" especially with the students at La Plata High School.
Son of the late James Mudd Livers and the late Henrietta Hicks Livers. Predeceased by his parents. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Katherine Dyson Livers; two sons, Thomas W. Livers, Jr. Of Faulkner, MD and James A. Livers of Oxon Hill, MD; four daughters, Mary A. Ball of Faulkner, MD, Barbara A. Ellis of Oxon Hill, MD, Hildagard Livers of Forestville, MD and Nora A. Livers of Forestville, MD; and one brother, George F. (Lillian) Livers of Pomfret, MD. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation: Friday, August 5, 2011 from 10AM until Mass of Christian Burial time at 11AM at St. Ignatius Chapel Point Catholic Church, Port Tobacco, MD. Clergy: Fr. Edward Dougherty, S.J. Interment: Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Brian, Clarence, and Shawn Ball, George and David Livers, and James Swann Honorary Pallbearers: James E. Ball, Jr., Charles Washington, and Francis Plat, and the United States Army Honor Guard.
