Ella Louise Sweeney (Bunny) of White Plains Md., died on Friday, July 29, 2011 at her home. She was 63 years old. Bunny was born on March 12, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio.

At the age of one her family relocated to Cobb Island, Md. where she grew up, met and married her loving husband of 44 years, Charles David Sweeney.

Bunny graduated from La Plata High School in 1966. She was an honor student as well as a member of the La Plata High School Band. She was employed by the Citizens News and Times Crescent Newspapers; the papers folded in 1989, after which she started with The Saint Charles Apartments as a leasing consultant where she worked for nearly 20 years. Known by her tenants as Ms. Dean, she will be remembered as a bright spot in their lives. Bunny loved camping, Maryland blue crabs and was an avid bingo player. She will be missed by her many friends at the ADF bingo hall.

She is preceded in death by her parents, the late Mildred L. and George Alfred Dean and her husband Charlie.

Bunny is survived by her adult daughter Denise, her grandson Blaise, three sisters, Lillian Stine of Cobb Island, Georgia Warder of La Plata, and Linda Mattingly of Issue and one brother and sister-in- law George and Sandy Dean of Berkeley Springs, WVa. In addition to her siblings and their spouses, Bunny leaves cherished memories with many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will received friends on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 from 6PM to 7PM with a Memorial Service beginning at 7PM to be held at Raymond Funeral Service, P.A. 5635 Washington Ave. La Plata, MD 20646. Interment will be on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 1PM at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery (funeral procession will leave the funeral home at approximately 12pm).
