Mr. Adams was a Carpenter with Bolling Air Force Base and Walter Reed Hospital as a federal employee for 25 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in White Plains, MD and of the Methodist faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball, football, and NASCAR. He lived a very quiet life.

Son of the late William Rufus Adams, Sr., and the late Eunice Viola Pickeral Adams.

Predeceased by his parents.

Survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara V. Iler Adams; two sons, William J. Adams (fiancé, Katheryn Danielle Paugh) of Nanjemoy, MD and Joseph F. Adams of La Plata, MD; one daughter, Denise V. York of La Plata, MD. Also survived by one grandchild, Ann Marie York.

Visitation: Tuesday, August 2, 2011 from 10AM until funeral service time at 11AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Clergy: Rev. Mark Roberson. Interment: By family at a later date.
