Christine Russell Alessi, 75, of Leonardtown, MD passed away quietly on July 28, 2011 at St. Mary's Nursing Center, Leonardtown, MD. Christine was born on December 20, 1935 in Warrenton, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Silas E. Russell and Mary "Booher" Russell.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, William Nelson, as well as four siblings, Lillian Linton, Lorraine Russell, Margaret Carrico, and Dallas Russell.

She moved to Leonardtown, Maryland from Reston, Virginia in 2005. For over twenty years she was employed with Sprint as a Customer Implementations Specialist.

Christine is survived by her devoted children, Michael C. Alessi (Pam) of Hartland, Wisconsin, Suzanne Alessi (Michael Kidd) of Waldorf, Maryland, and Xina Raley (Marvin) of Mechanicsville, Maryland. She is also survived by one sister, Thelma Cassell and six adoring grandchildren.
