Mr. Alston was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and the Merchant Marines. Following discharges from the military, he worked as a Mechanical Engineer with Military Sea Lift Command for 25 years.
Son of James Alston and Jessie Mae Lawrence Alston. Survived by his wife of 25 years, Michelle Bradley Alston; and two daughters. Funeral Service: Monday, August 1, 2011 at 1PM at Maryland Veterans' Cemetery Chapel, Cheltenham, MD. Interment: Maryland Veterans' Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
