Kathleen Louise Grist of Waldorf, Md. died on July 13, 2011 at her home. She was born on August 8, 1931 in Washington, DC to the late William A. Quade and Alice K. Quade.

She is also predeceased by her sister Dorothy Ann Shoop.

She is survived by her husband Don C. Grist, daughter Nancy Lynn White, daughter Linda Ann Burke, son Don J. Grist and his wife Kathy, son Jack Allen Grist and his wife Darlene, son Ronald Edward Grist and his wife Laura, brothers William A. Quade, Jr. and Charles Quade. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Kathleen enjoyed bingo, being with her family and playing cards. She is a member of the Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Waldorf, Md.

The family will receive friends on Monday July 18th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm with prayers at 7pm at the Arehart - Echols Funeral Home, La Plata, Md. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday July 19th 11am at The Our Lady Help of Christians Church Waldorf, Md. Interment will be at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery Cheltenham, Md. at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady Help of Christians Church or the American Cancer Society.
