Gleness Ann Brawner, Age 40 of Waldorf, Maryland died on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Civista Medical Center, La Plata, Maryland.

Born November 28, 1966 in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late Charles W. Brawner, Sr. and the late Mary Delores Fenwick Brawner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Allen Shorter.

Gleness was educated in the Charles County Public Schools and was employed with the Prince George's County Public Schools as a Secretary at Henry Ferguson Elementary School in Accokeek, Maryland.

She enjoyed singing, music and dancing.

She leaves to cherish her memory, son, Mark Thomas Love Jr., daughter, Shanell Ashley Brawner, (6) sisters, Mary Castillo, Brenda Tucker, Deborah Posey, Diane Brawner, Sheila Brawner and Lisa Proctor, (8) brothers, Francis Brawner, Charles W. Brawner Jr., James Brawner, Earl Brawner, Joseph Brawner, Richard Brawner, Ronald Brawner and Kevin Brawner. (40) nieces and nephews (21) great nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Her viewing will be held on Monday, February 26, 2007, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Prayers 10:45 a.m. at Thornton Funeral Home Chapel, 3439 Livingston Road (State Route #227) Pomonkey, Maryland 20640. Mass of Christian Burial, 12 noon at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 4590 St. Joseph's Way, Pomfret, Maryland 20675. Her Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.
