William Francis "Bill" Collins, 72, of Bel Alton, MD, departed this life on June 26, 2011, at Southern Maryland Hospital, Clinton, MD. Born December 27, 1938, in Bel Alton, MD, he was the son of the late Agnes Rosalee and the late Francis Collins.

He was educated in the Charles County Public School System. He was a retired carpenter. He was a people person and loved by so many. His greatest love was his wife, Gloria Collins, of 46 years. His second greatest love in life was his yard sale business that he and Gloria enjoyed to do. He also loved visiting and talking with his cousin Eleanor.

William is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Gloria; devoted cousin, Eleanor Chase of Bel Alton, MD; two aunts, one uncle, two brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives.

Visitation will be Friday, July 1, 2011, from 9AM until Mass of Christian Burial time at 10AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, La Plata, MD. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery.
