Age 97. Rose was born in Voltre, Italy on Dec. 18, 1909 to the late Giobatta Battista and Giovanna Maria Parodi, moving to the U.S. with her family when she was 3. She was a traditional Italian woman, having great pride in her family and loving large family gatherings. Rose loved music and was an active member of the Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by Louis Boitano, and her brothers Mingo and Lawrence "Chick" Parodi.

Devoted mother of Marlene Anderson of Prince Frederick, Md., grandmother of ShiJoh Rose Cloninger of Oakridge N.C. and great grandmother of Cody Lawrence and Jory Anderson, Lalla of John Parodi, Michael, Julian, Christine, Lisa, and Gina. She is also survived by 3 nieces and 4 nephews from the Boitano side of the family.
