William Bruce Maness, 54, of White Plains, MD, died June 16, 2011, at his residence with Hospice.

Mr. Maness was a carpenter for 30 years with Carpenters Union #1145. He served in United States Navy from 1972 to 1975. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved to ride his 2004 Harley Fatboy. He was an avid Redskin fan and Nascar Earnhardt follower. He coached all of his sons in soccer and basketball for 15 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Born July 21, 1956, in Raleigh, NC, he was the son of the late Vernon Dempsey Maness, Sr. and Jean Pearl Pulley.

Predeceased by his father; son, William B. Maness, Jr.

Survived by his mother; wife of 35 years, Patricia Ann Maness; sons, Joshua R. Maness, Timothy B. Maness; brother, Vernon Maness; sisters, Christine Maness, Martha Hall, Sabrina Renn. Also survived by Caitlyn Maness, Ryan Maness, and Kaidyn Cecelia Maness.

Visitation was held Monday, June 20, 2011, from 11AM to 1PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Funeral Service was held on Monday, June 20, 2011, at 1PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Rev. Mark Roberson officiate. Interment took place at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Helen, MD.
