Robert Woodward Moore, Jr., 76, of Palm Bay, FL died June 3, 2011 in Palm Bay. Born on April 3, 1935 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Robert Woodward Moore, Sr. and Catherine H. Moore.

Robert retired as a Battalion Fire Chief with the D.C. Fire Department and also retired as a Chief Electricians Mate with the U.S. Navy Reserve. He was a member of the B.P.O.E (Elks) Lodge # 1079, VFW Post #15009, American Legion Post #136 and the Masonic Lodge # 207.

Robert was predeceased by his parents.

He is survived by sons: Richard Moore (Debbie) of Mechanicsville, MD, Robert Moore (Sandy) of Waldorf, MD and Russell Moore (Kristy) of Stephens City, VA; brother, Wayne Moore of Monrovia, MD; sisters, Suzie Floyd of Ohio, Ginny Wigle of Tennessee and Katie Sapp of the Kent Island; also 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A Life Celebration will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011 from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD where a Memorial Service will follow at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Kyner officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to William Childs Hospice House, 381 Medplex Pkwy, Palm Bay, FL 32907 in memory of Robert Moore.
