Mr. Phillips was a veteran of the United States Army, having served from 1973 through 1976 and was a member of the Army Honor Guard Team. He worked in car sales with many local car dealerships for 25 years and was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Waldorf, MD. He enjoyed golfing, selling cars, working out, watching football (Dallas Cowboys), and most of all, being with family.

Son of the late Raymond Clark Phillips and the late Lenore Elizabeth O'Donnell Phillips.

Predeceased by his parents.

Survived by his wife of 15 years, Robin Phillips; one son, Clint Phillips of Waldorf, MD; one daughter, Laura P. Phillips of Waldorf, MD; and three brothers, Clark (Kelly) Phillips of IN, Patrick Phillips of Bel Alton, MD, and Dean (Patricia) Phillips of IN.

Visitation: Sunday, June 12, 2011 from 5-8 PM with Funeral Service at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Clergy: Fr. Alain Colliou.

Interment: Monday, June 13, 2011 at 11AM at Maryland Veterans' Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD Pallbearers: Clark Phillips, Patrick Phillips, Dean Phillips, Joe Marcheggiani, Roger Kovach, Mike Carpenter, Mike Reynolds, and Richie Reynolds. Honorary Pallbearers: United States Army Honor Guard.
