Mr. Adams was an Auto Body Technician for 45 years with Trotter Pontiac in Waldorf, MD and later with Brandywine Auto. He loved gardening and especially loved his dog "Puddin."

He was son of the late Percy B. Adams and the late Frances Naomi Edelen Adams.

He was predeceased by his parents and two great-grandchildren, Payton Kellar and William Leon Bowie.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Juanita Simpson Adams; one son, John Harvey (Joyce) Adams; and two daughters, Sharon Anne (William) Willett and Eleanor Mae (James) Finley, Jr. Also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 5-8pm with Prayers at 7pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 11:30am with additional viewing from 10:30am until Service time at Nanjemoy Baptist Church, 3030 Baptist Church Road, Nanjemoy, MD 20662. Clergy will be the Rev. Brian Corrick. Interment will follow at Nanjemoy Baptist Church Cemetery, Nanjemoy, MD. Pallbearers will be John Epp, James Finley, Jr., Phillip Vargas, William Willett, John Adams and Jamey Finley.
