Allen was a past employee of Charles County for 22 years. He was currently employed by Roy Rogers Restaurant for the past 17 years. During that time, Allen grew to know and love his co-workers.

As a member of the Rock Church in La Plata, he found a comforting place to worship and had many compassionate and supportive friends.

Allen's passion was serving at the La Plata Volunteer Fire Department. He was a dedicated member for 28 years and enjoyed his most current duty as chaplain.

His hobby was reading. Allen had an extensive collection of books on many different subjects. He also had a large collection of Fire and Rescue memorabilia.

VISITATION: Tuesday, September 26, 2006 5-9 pm with prayers at 7pm, followed by Fire Department prayers at 7:30 pm, at La Plata Volunteer Fire Department

FUNERAL SERVICE: Wednesday, September 27 at 10 am at La Plata Volunteer Fire Department

INTERMENT: following service at Holy Ghost Catholic Church Cemetery, Issue, MD
