Salvatore Patti, 92, of Waldorf, MD, died May 21, 2011, at Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Clinton, MD.

Mr. Patti was a Machinist Supervisor with the Department of Defense for the United States Navy for 30 years. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II and a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Waldorf, MD.

He was married to his late wife Josephine for 59 years.

He loved fishing, gardening, cooking, working on cars, and being with his family.

Born May 9, 1919, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Dominic Patti and the late Stefena Torre Patti.

Predeceased by his parents and his late wife, Josephine Cardella Patti.

Survived by one daughter, Stephanie M. and her husband Kenneth Marsala of Waldorf, MD; one brother, Peter Patti of FL; and one sister, Mary Pennachio of NY. Also survived by two grandsons, Kenneth Marsala, Jr., of Annandale, VA and Michael and his wife Sarah Marsala of Gainesville, VA; two great-grandchildren, Claire and Audrey.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, from 3PM to 6PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD with Wake Service at 5:30PM. Interment will be at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD, on Thursday, June 2, 2011, at 3PM. Honorary Pallbearers will be the United States Navy Honor Guard.
