Wilma Elizabeth Canalini, 86, of Indian Head, MD, died May 17, 2011, at Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Clinton, MD.

Mrs. Canalini was a homemaker and helped her husband run County Seat Dry Cleaning in La Plata, MD and in her earlier years, helped her husband with Leonard Custom Tailoring in Washington, DC. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Chapel Point, MD. Good harmonica player, enjoyed feeding birds-animal lover, was known as a very good woman.

Born February 24, 1925, in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Hugo Wernery and the late Gertrude Friehoff Wernery.

Predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Hugo and Frederick Wernery; and two sisters, Trudel Willwertz and Heddie Lasieky.

Survived by her husband of 52 years, Leonard Canalini. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be private. Interment will be held at a later date at her family plot in Germany.
