Thelma Marie Sydnor, 92, of Waldorf, MD, died May 17, 2011, at her residence with Hospice.

Mrs. Sydnor was an Office Manager for over 30 years with Equitable Life Insurance Company and a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Waldorf, MD. She enjoyed crocheting, needle point, traveling, and watching baseball. She also enjoyed her church activities and being with family.

Born October 5, 1918, in Mt. Airy, MD, she was the daughter of the late James Patton Murphy and the late Mildred Elizabeth Molesworth Murphy.

Predeceased by her parents; her late husband George R. Sydnor; late son, Stephen M. Sydnor; and a late grandson, David R. Wines.

Survived by two daughters, Joyce M. Salvatore of Suitland, MD and Diana J. Wines of Waldorf, MD; daughter-in-law, Patricia Sydnor; one brother, Wendell Murphy; and one sister, Ardell Pratesi, both of Mt. Airy, MD. Also survived by six grandchildren and six great- grandchildren.

Funeral service and interment will be private at a later date.
