Barbara L. Martin 90 of La Plata, Md. died on Monday May 16, 2011. She was born on August 20, 1920 in Washington DC to the late John Smith and Blanche Soper Smith. She is also predeceased by her brothers John J. Smith and Howard Smith and granddaughter Melissa Murphy.

She is survived by her son Arthur Lee Martin, Jr., daughter Barbara Lien, brother William Smith, sister Margaret Upright, grandson Michael Lien, 4 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday May 20, 2011 from 10:30am to 11:30am at the St. Ignatius Church Chapel Pt., Md. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30am. Interment to follow at the Resurrection Cemetery Clinton, Md.
