Francis Roman Kownacki "Frank", 80, of Lusby, MD, passed away at Washington Hospital Center on January 3, 2007. Beloved husband of Clare Boyle Kownacki, loving father of Mary Clare K. Fedor, Francis Roman Kownacki, Jr., Elizabeth Bolton and Susan Kownacki Bruno. Grandfather of Megan and Patrick Fedor, Stephanie and Michael Bolton and Nicholas Bruno, He is also survived by his sisters, Eleanor Weden and Dolores Petrasek and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born June 13, 1926 in Wilkes Barre, PA to the late Veronica and Roman Joseph Kownacki. Frank served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a Public School Teacher, working in Montgomery County.

The family received friends at the Rausch Funeral Home, Port Republic, MD on Sunday January 7, 20O7 from 4-6 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial was said on Monday January 8, 2007, 12 noon, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Solomons, MD.
